The new distributorship will allow businesses in Singapore to purchase Kaspersky’s SMB and Enterprise solutions directly from ACA Pacific from September 2021. Through ACA Pacific, businesses will be able to enjoy the full suite of pre-sales services, such as technical advice, typically offered by Kaspersky.
Global cybersecurity and digital privacy firm, Kaspersky, has announced the expansion of its local small and medium business (SMB) and enterprise solutions sales channel through the appointment of its newest distributor for Singapore, ACA Pacific, a leading distribution company in the Asia Pacific region.
This collaboration allows Kaspersky to tap on ACA Pacific’s strengths as a leading value-added IT distributor which boasts more than 30,000 channel partners and a history of more than 30 years in servicing businesses, providing solutions ranging from enterprise cloud security to business applications and software.
Through the collaboration, Kaspersky’s SMB and enterprise security solutions can now be more easily accessed by businesses and organisations in the education, manufacturing and telco industries, as well as various SMBs including those in the food and beverage, retail and service sectors. Amidst the rise of cyber crimes – cybercrimes make up 40% of all crime-related activities in Singapore today, and with SMEs more likely to fall prey to cybercrime – the need for such cybersecurity solutions to be made more readily available grows in importance, especially as remote or hybrid working arrangements have widened the threat landscape businesses are exposed to.
This distributorship also bolsters Kaspersky’s commitment to building an ecosystem of cyber immunity, and to continue its key role in driving the industry to set new standards in the cybersecurity space.
“With the accelerated pivoting of business operations to the online sphere here in Singapore, more so than ever, online defenses should become one of the top business priorities, to protect confidential data or to even ensure business-as-usual operations. Cybersecurity solutions actually play a larger role than we think in terms of resolving run-of-the-mill attacks – almost 90% of such incidents can be prevented with the proper cybersecurity systems in place. The appointment of ACA Pacific as Kaspersky’s distributor in Singapore plays an essential role in enhancing and supporting our commitment to drive forward our mission to increase cyber immunity among businesses and individuals here. We hope expanding our distribution channels through ACA Pacific will be able to bridge this gap and allow more businesses to be more adequately protected during this critical time,” commented Yeo Siang Tiong, General Manager for Southeast Asia at Kaspersky.
From the customer perspective, these additional channels will help lower the barriers to ensuring access to cybersecurity solutions. As part of the collaboration, ACA Pacific will also provide the full suite of pre-sales services to potential Kaspersky customers, providing technical advice and customer support.
Craig Gledhill, CEO for ACA Pacific at Singapore, shares, “We are proud to be able to play our part in driving higher levels of cybersecurity systems adoption in Singapore. Cybersecurity remains a key concern, especially in the current increasingly digitalised world in which data protection is more important now than ever. Working with Kaspersky will allow us to build our database of cybersecurity solutions to complement our network and other offerings made available on our platform, and this collaboration is key in driving that.”
As part of Kaspersky’s distribution channel with ACA Pacific, Kaspersky’s SMB and Enterprise cybersecurity solutions will be further made available on online platforms, Lazada and the ACA e-store.
